Character Profile: Jack Skelton

Greetings friends and welcome back to the Penalty Box.  In today’s five minute major, I want to introduce you to the main character of the Ragnarok on Ice series Jack Skelton.  To start with, Jack is the team captain of the Manchester Bears.  In his early 30’s, Jack has yet to make it to the professional league, toiling away in the minor’s.  All the guy wants is one shot, to say he made it, but as he is getting older it seems that will never come.

His personal life is also at pretty much a standstill.  Recently divorced and traded back to his hometown team, Jack hasn’t had it easy.  His mother passed away a few years ago when she was involved in a car accident and his father went missing right before the events of Power Play.  At this point, he basically throws himself into his hockey career, choosing to turn himself into a recluse of sorts.

His friends, mainly Stan Stansky and Oleg Thorston, worry about him but to no avail.  With his trust in people broken and his faith shattered, Jack is in desperate need of a change.  Fortunately for him, The Norns know all and with the help of a certain flame-haired Aesir, give him the change he so desperately desires.

Come back later this week for the next character profile.  I’ll leave you with this (not-so-subtle) hint of who I will feature: ‘Here comes the thunder!’

About Jeremy Croston

I'm a comic loving, soccer playing, devoted husband who has a writing addiction. I can be found at Orlando Solar Bear hockey games, at the local sports bar cheering on my teams from Philly (go Flyers!), and being led astray by my schnauzer, JJ. Check out my Amazon page at to see my collections. Feel free to friend me on Facebook too at (there is another one of me out there apparently). Outside of writing, I work in business development and am considered an expert in all things Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Thanks for stopping by and looking forward to talking to you soon!
