Newest Project: Alacatraz

So with the end of the Ragnarok on Ice series, it is time to take what I learned from the experience and apply it to a brand new storyline.  Today’s post is about my thought process and where I’m going next.

To pick a good storyline, you first have to pick subject matter.  If you’ve followed my writings so far, you’ll know I gravitate towards the supernatural and mythological.  So, do I deviate from my strengths and try something new?  Maybe – but what if I could redefine a subject and turn it into something even better?

So while I was picking my subject matter, I turned my attention to the setting.  The first place my mind went to was the old prison, Alcatraz.  Something about the ghostly prison seemed the excellent place to start my new story.  I ran the idea by a few friends and their eyes popped with excitement.

Then like the perfect game of Tetris, all the blocks fell into place.  I’m going to leave you here with this semi cliffhanger as the story is starting to take place.  However, if you want to see where the story is heading, head on over to and look me up.  I’ll be putting the story up there as I progress for your enjoyment.  It is only the rough draft, but I hope you enjoy it.

About Jeremy Croston

I'm a comic loving, soccer playing, devoted husband who has a writing addiction. I can be found at Orlando Solar Bear hockey games, at the local sports bar cheering on my teams from Philly (go Flyers!), and being led astray by my schnauzer, JJ. Check out my Amazon page at to see my collections. Feel free to friend me on Facebook too at (there is another one of me out there apparently). Outside of writing, I work in business development and am considered an expert in all things Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Thanks for stopping by and looking forward to talking to you soon!
